06.01.2003 Susan Whelan, Minister for International Cooperation, today announced that Canada will contribute $9.4-million over the next five years to support small and medium enterprise development in Bangladesh. "One of the key elements to reduce poverty," Minister Whelan said, "is the ability to increase the capacity of the poor to participate in the economy through access to income-generating activities."
