International Women's Health Coalition

The International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC) works to secure every woman's right to sexual and reproductive health and autonomy, free from discrimination, coercion, disease, and violence, in three ways. First, we support diverse local organizations and networks working to improve the health and status of women and young people in selected countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe. Second, we work with governments, the United Nations, and other international agencies to ensure that global health policies and funding recognize and prioritize women's and young people's health needs and human rights. And third, we inform public debate on issues related to reproductive health, sexuality, women and HIV/AIDS, and human rights, in the U.S. and abroad through our media outreach, publications, website, and events.
