GONG
GONG is a non-partisan citizens' organization founded in 1997 to encourage citizens to actively participate in political processes. GONG conducts non-partisan monitoring of election process, educates citizens about their rights and duties, encourages mutual communication between citizens and their elected representatives, promotes transparency of work within public services, manages public advocacy campaigns and encourages and helps citizens in self-organizing initiatives. U petak, 15. 12. Hrvatski sabor donio je Zakon o financiranju političkih stranaka, nezavisnih lista i kandidata što je korak naprijed u odnosu na dosadašnje propise vezane za financiranje političkih stranaka, no, kako primjećuju u GONG-u, i dalje ostaje otvoreno pitanje financiranja izbornih kampanja.

U petak 10. 11. 2006. u GONG-u je održana konferencija za novinare na kojoj je GONG upoznao javnost o zaprimljenoj obavijesti o rješenju Općinskog državnog odvjetništva u Splitu povodom kaznene prijave koju je GONG podnio 13. 1. 2005. godine zbog glasanja mrtvih na posljednjim predsjedničkim izborima.
