Helsinski odbor za ljudska prava u Srbiji

Helsinski odbor za ljudska prava u Srbiji je osnovan u septembru 1994. godine. I pored toga sto su ustavne i pravne garancije ljudskih prava u Srbiji u skladu sa internacionalno prihvacenim standardima, trenutno stanje ljudskih prava je vise nego uznemiravajuce. Iz tog razloga, Helsinski odbor za ljudska prava postoji kao profesionalna organizacija koja se bavi promocijom ideje vladavine prava i zastite ljudskih prava.

09.11.2005 The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia estimates that the latest Draft-Law on the Police proposed by the Government is, indeed, better than previous ones, but still contains a number of disputable provisions that don’t guarantee the democratic system of governance and fails to provide for public control and overview of the work of the Police.
