Custodians working at the Sears Customer Service Centre in Belleville, Ontario, won a critical vote to form a union this week. The 22 workers are employed by UNICCO Facilities Services Canada Company, one of the largest facilities services companies in North America with over 19,000 employees and over $700-million in annual revenue. UNICCO claims it has had ten-fold growth over the last decade while its custodians have not had a raise in over 10 years.
