Rome: WFP has created a set of online resources on its website that will help teachers bring hunger issues into the classroom, where their students - tomorrow's voters and policy makers - can learn about the challenges that world hunger poses.

Graham Bell, WFP's Youth Outreach Coordinator, has been a key figure in developing the new Teachers and Students section on the WFP website. He says young people and educators are crucial when it comes to effecting change in attitudes to hunger and poverty.

In the pipeline is a standards-aligned, online curriculum mapping service that will enable teachers to freely use teaching materials and develop complete curricula, centred on hunger.

Work in the Teachers and Students section is still under progress. Users can contribute their ideas to WFP on ways to make the section work even better.
